I-70 FATAL ACCIDENT
September 12, 2006

On Tuesday evening, Washington County 9-1-1 became swamped with calls reporting a vehicle accident on Interstate 70 West Bound just prior to Exit 32 for Hagerstown. Dispatchers took multiple report of a vehicle rollover with one patient ejected from the vehicle in the roadway. Emergency crews from Funkstown Fire Company along with Community Rescue Service were dispatched out at 20:34 hours that evening. While crews responded, calls continued coming in reporting the patient in the roadway to not be moving.
