With only 22% of
our response area contributing to our annual fund drive the FVFC
decided to change in the year 2005 to a Membership Subscription.
The annual subscription membership rate for single-family
dwelling units is $30.00 per family. The subscription rate for
commercial properties and business is based on assessed value
with a $50.00 minimum commercial rate.
As part of the subscription membership process, FVFC has
implemented a fee for service billing program. Fee for service
statements will be mailed to individuals, businesses and
insurance companies of those who use our services. Fees range
from $50 an hour for the rental of an electric water pump to
$1,500+ for a working fire assignment. Subscription members will
not be responsible for the payment of any fees beyond those,
which are covered by your insurance company.
We sincerely ask that the new process not offend the many
generous families who have faithfully supported us over the
years. The changes are necessary to reach the 78% who fail to
support us year after year. For families and businesses that
always contribute, we ask for your continued financial support.
If you have not contributed in the past, please understand that
you will now be billed for our services if the subscription
membership fee has not been paid.
